Mark your calendars for this year’s Meading at The Garden at beautiful Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, in Vista. Hundreds of mead fans, craft beer enthusiasts, and foodies will gather and have the pleasure of tasting amazing meads and beers, listening to live music, and enjoying gourmet cuisine, in the lush and beautiful Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, at Brengle Terrace Park, Vista, on April 6.

Sample from the largest selection of mead on the west coast featuring over 18 meaderies and 14 breweries nationwide! The 9th Annual Meading at the Garden is an event not to be missed and as always100% of all proceeds are donated to the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens. Throw axes in the Viking Village, or taste some honey at the San Diego Beekeepers Society booth. The large food court has a varied array of sustenance for all appetites, including vegan and organic food vendors in addition to the classic barbeque, pizza, and tacos that are regularly featured.

Meading at the Garden is an annual springtime mead festival in April that creates awareness and educates the public about the world’s oldest fermented beverage – mead. Otherwise known as honeywine, mead has been produced on the earth since 9000BC and typically includes, fruits, spices, and/or other tasty adjuncts. Mead is currently one of the fastest growing segments of the United States’ alcohol industry, with over 500 meaderies nationwide. Cheers!
