Oceanside Sunset Market Street Fair
Weekly – Thursday Evenings, 5 – 9 p.m.
Featuring up to 200 merchants and spanning four city blocks, MainStreet Oceanside’s Sunset Market is San Diego County’s top weekly food and music street fair. Thousands of residents and visitors gather here to enjoy hot food from around the world, gourmet goodies and desserts, eclectic shopping, live entertainment, and children’s activities. The Sunset Market occasionally hosts a theme night, like Mardi Gras Night, Earth Day, and Cinco de Mayo to name a few. Oceanside Independence Parade
Saturday, June 28, 10 a.m.
A local tradition since 1892, the annual Oceanside Independence Parade will honor local leaders and community members. Three local Hometown Heroes will again be honored in the parade. The parade will start at 10 a.m. at the intersection of North Coast Highway and Wisconsin Avenue and travel north on Coast Highway to Civic Center Drive. More than 100 parade entries are expected to march, roll, walk, and drive down historic Highway 101. Sponsors of the parade include the City of Oceanside, the County of San Diego Community Enhancement Grant, Genentech, and Goat Hill Park.
