Cardiff Dog Days of Summer
August 3, 10am-3pm
Cardiff Dog Days of Summer returns on August 3, at Encinitas Community Park. The event, which takes place from 10am to 3pm is a paradise for dogs and dog-lovers alike. There are pet adoption agencies, rescue groups, pet-related vendors, contests, opportunity drawings, and more. Kamp Kanine hosts an agility course for canines, and there are also contests, food trucks, opportunity drawings, and live musical performances.
At the Libation Lounge, attendees and their pets can cool off and chow down on delicious bites from food trucks and pop-ups. There are live musical performances on the lounge stage throughout the day, and plenty of shady spots to take in the beats with a canine buddy. Check online for a full entertainment lineup.
Presented by Rancho Coastal Humane Society, Rescue Row features various rescue groups, where attendees may find a furry forever friend. San Diego Humane Society is sponsoring a pet health expo at the event, which includes services such as microchipping, licensing, and vaccinations. Ethos VHS is on hand to answer any veterinary questions pet owners may have.
Cardiff Dog Days of Summer, a free event, is presented by Cardiff 101 Main Street and the City of Encinitas. In an effort to make it a zero waste event, attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and fill up at one of many hydration stations throughout the park.
