Hotel Del Coronado’s “All That Jazz” Lightshow Spectacular and Ice Skating By the Sea
December 1 – January 5
Enhanced for 2024, the grove of towering Norfolk Island Pines on the Founders Lawn is the scene of a dynamic light show. Orchestrated to music, the light show is a brilliant ethereal experience that captivates guests and visitors with a finale of snow flurries. The ten minute light show takes place every 30 minutes from 5-9pm. Showcased is their historic Norfolk Pine, which originally was made famous in 1904 as the world’s first electrically lit outdoor Christmas tree!
This year’s show also has more lights, more snow, and a brand-new bar and lounge for taking in the dazzling experience. A 12-foot-tall replica of the hotel’s signature red turret complete with holiday lights serves as the focal point of the new bar, which will be surrounded by Victorian-inspired lounge seating for the perfect spot to watch the show. This new bar will serve festive cocktails and cocoa.
The complimentary show takes place every 30 minutes from 5-9 pm nightly. Open to the public (no reservations needed).
Skating by the Sea® at Hotel del Coronado provides guests and visitors with a spectacular beachfront ice rink that features stunning views of the Pacific and ticket proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish® San Diego. Attendees can also reserve the rink-side or ocean-side Frostbite Lounge with plush seating, roaring fire pits, holiday-themed libations, and delectable bites.
