La Jolla Art & Wine Festival

17th Annual La Jolla Art and Wine Festival

October 11-12, 10am-6pm

Stunning coastal views and an upscale downtown experience set the scene for the 17th Annual La Jolla Art and Wine Festival on October 11 and 12. From 10am to 6pm each day, festival goers can stroll down Girard Avenue, while browsing a prestigious collection of fine art and sipping on regional and international wines, craft beer, and spirits. There are also plenty of fun activities for the entire family.

More than 160 artists from the United States and Mexico are at the festival to showcase their exquisite creations. The artwork on display spans across a number of media, such as paintings, sculpture, jewelry, fine glass, ceramics, wood, mixed media, and photography. This year’s featured artist is Greg Visintainer. Known for his intricate pen-and-ink creations, Viz’s art transforms from bold images into hidden stories when viewed up close. His work has been featured by Disney, DC Shoes, and the Grateful Dead—discover his world of detail and inspiration.

The festival is a favorite among vino enthusiasts as well. The iconic wine and beer garden highlights more than 35 international wineries, local craft breweries, and craft distilleries. There is continuous live music in the garden throughout the day, ranging from jazz to pop to rock to opera.

Along with a two-day silent auction, 15 pet adoption stations and an all-star line-up of live entertainment and music, there is something for everyone. All profits raised benefit underfunded programs such as art, music, science, physical education, technology and on-site medical care at all La Jolla public schools. Since its inception, the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival has donated more than $1,000,000 to these schools for the educational benefit of more than 4,000 children.
