16th Annual San Diego Gaslamp Pet Parade & Pups in the Pub Party
December 14, 11am-4pm
The pitter-patter of paws will fill the Gaslamp Quarter with Holiday delight this December. Tis the season for San Diego’s favorite feel-good parade, the Gaslamp Quarter Holiday Pet Parade and Pups in the Pub Party! Returning Saturday, December 14, this annual local favorite tradition highlights dogs, cats, and other pets as the Gaslamp “decks the paws” for a howl-y jolly good time. Pets are the stars of the show at this parade! Participants and their companions are encouraged to dress up in costume and compete for prizes and awards. Attendees are sure to see Santa Paws, plenty of creative holiday pet costumes, and unique floats with intricate detailing and matching ensembles. Participants are infamous for their creative over-the-top costumes, group costumes, and holiday cheer and this year’s parade will be one for the books!
The festivities commence at 10am in the MLK park in front of the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter for a winter wonderland filled with photo ops, dog treats, Santa Claus, and a variety of pet vendors showcasing their latest pet products. At 1PM the parade takes off under the Gaslamp Quarter Archway and through the Gaslamp Quarter.
After the parade, guests are invited to stroll to the third annual Pups in the Pub Party from 2pm through 4pm following the parade at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. Attendees and their pets can enjoy craft beer, complimentary goody bags, live music, games for pups & people, photo ops, and more! Here, a panel of judges will announce award winners for “Best Christmas Spirit”, “Best Matching Costumes”, and “Best in Show” among others.
Furry, scaly, and feathered family members alike are welcome to jingle all the way through the Gaslamp Quarter in their best festive costumes to ring in the holiday season. Registration is $25 per pet. The Pups in the Pub party is FREE to enter! Participants can register in advance to ensure their spot in the parade is reserved as parade slots are limited.
