Encinitas Holiday Parade Holiday

Encinitas Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting

December 7

Nearly 100 parade entries will roll, march, cycle, scoot and cruise down the Coast Highway on the most magical night of the year. At this truly special community celebration of the holiday season, thousands of people will be on floats and in bands with tens of thousands more cheering them on as the Encinitas Holiday Parade rolls along Coast Highway 101. The parade begins at 5:30pm. It is preceded by a 5pm tree lighting ceremony with a brief appearance by Santa at the Lumberyard Shops courtyard.

The theme of the 2024 Encinitas Holiday Parade, “Creativity in Motion,” celebrates the vibrant spirit of innovation and imagination that flows through our community. From colorful floats to dynamic performances, we invite participants to bring their creative ideas to life in a moving display of art, culture, and festive cheer. Whether it’s through dance, music, or unique visual expressions, this parade will showcase the endless possibilities of creativity on the go!

Tree lighting is at 5pm with Santa in the Lumberyard, and then Parade begins at 5:30pm.

Shuttle buses will take Parade spectators to and from the Parade from two convenient shuttle locations: Ecke Sports Park/YMCA and San Dieguito Academy High School (parking lot at corner of Melba Road/Nardo Road). Both shuttles start running at 4pm with last pick-ups from the parade stop until 8:30pm. The ADA accessible buses run from the San Dieguito Academy location. Shuttles run approximately every 20 minutes. Visit www.encinitasparksandrec.com
