Lunar New Year: Year of The Snake, San Diego

The Lunar New Year Festival takes place at the House of China, in Balboa Park over two days, February 15-16. This year is the Year of The Snake in the Chinese Zodiac. The festival is a vibrant and culturally enriching event that celebrates the lunar new year with traditional Chinese music, dance, and culinary delights.

Visitors can experience the rich heritage of Chinese culture through various performances, including dragon and lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, and classical Chinese music. The festival also features an array of food stalls offering authentic Chinese cuisine, arts and crafts booths, and educational exhibits that highlight the history and significance of the Chinese New Year. This festive event not only brings the local Chinese community together but also invites people of all backgrounds to partake in the joyous celebration and learn more about Chinese traditions.
