– Del Mar Heights neighborhood (just east of Del Mar) is known for great treats.
– Santa Fe Hills in San Marcos does a fine job on Halloween. This neighborhood transforms into a festive and spooky place with scary décor and carved pumpkins.
– Downtown Huntington Beach on 5th and Walnut. Downtown businesses hand out thousands of pounds of candy to trick or treaters who swarm the streets of Huntington Beach on Main between Pacific Coast Highway and Orange Ave.

– The Ranch homes in La Costa often hand out huge candy bars, and you can even score occasional paper money.
– North Pine Loop in Aliso Viejo, in South Orange County
– Magnolia and Nightingale in Fountain Valley, CA 92708. Every year, this little neighborhood in Fountain Valley picks a theme and goes all out. In past years, Star Wars was the main attraction, with dozens of people dressed in character and props such as the Death Star, X-Wings and a Millenium Falcon.
– Westwing at Eastwing in Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
– These streets in Fullerton hand out a lot of candy. Located north of downtown Fullerton: Malvern, Jacaranda, and Brookdale
– Alegria Avenue in Sierra Madre, OC. A decades-long tradition, the residents of Alegria Avenue have been decorating their homes and bungalows with outrageous Halloween decorations.
– Halloween Island “Balboa Island” in Newport Beach. Dubbed “Halloween Island,” the oceanfront homes of Balboa become adorned with bootiful decorations, and families can take their children door-to-door for some yummy candy.
