Bates Nut Farm

100-Acre Bates Nut Farm’s Events and Giant Big Mac Pumpkin Fields and Festival, Valley Center

Pumpkin Fields Open from September 19 – October 31

More than 100 years ago, Bates Nut Farm was a family-owned and run farm with groves of walnut trees. That was a long time ago, but over the years the walnut trees have mostly been replaced with 100-acres of beautiful shade trees, a ranch house, corn fields, a country store, a petting corral for the kids, and over 15-acres of pumpkin fields, with some of the largest size pumpkins you’ll ever see. Photo opportunities are in every direction. Breathe in the fresh air, put on your Halloween costume and grab a wheel barrel and wander through the thousands of pumpkins to select your favorite size and shape.

Bate’s Country Store has isles and isles of nuts from all over the world, and Bate’s roasts their own! The store has jams, jellies, sauces and spices, teas, glazed fruit, homemade fudge and all sorts of candy. Select ready-made holiday gift baskets or make your own. The Farmer’s Daughter Boutique has all kinds of kitchenware, decorations, candles, clothing, and unique gift items.
