40th Annual Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club Contest and Beach Festival
August 8-10
Families are invited to soak up the last of the summer days in the waves at the Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club Contest from August 8 to 10. The three-day family-friendly event features action-packed surfing competitions, along with a beach festival full of activities, live music, and entertainment near Oceanside Pier.
The contest draws professional and amateur surfers spanning from Hawaii to Santa Cruz to the southern border. Surfers compete for bragging rights in the Coalition of Surfing Clubs. There is a Pro-Am Invitational called The King and Queen of the Pier and includes $5,000 in prize money for each division.
