May 15 – August 18
Baja’s Wild Side features the breathtaking photography of shark expert and Scripps marine biologist Dr. Dan Cartamil as he explores Baja California’s Pacific coast region. This exhibition chronicles a fragile paradise of remote and hauntingly beautiful landscapes, wildlife, and ancient rock art that is on the verge of being taken over by modern civilization. Dr. Cartamil will give a NATtalk on May 16 about his research and photography. The talk coincides with the release of his new book Baja’s Wild Side, available at the museum store.
