26th Annual Red Nose Run
December 15, 1-4pm
Don’t miss an opportunity to spread some holiday cheer at the 26th annual Red Nose Run. The race is on December 15 at 2pm, but participants should check in at Del Mar Powerhouse Community Center at 1pm. The course is a 5K along Del Mar’s dog-friendly beach. Runners of all ages and abilities are welcome. At the finish line, participants can enjoy a post-race celebration.
As in past years, the run benefits Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and the Semper Fi Fund. Fresh Start Surgical Gifts provides free reconstructive surgery for disadvantaged youth with physical deformities caused by birth defects, accidents, abuse or disease. Semper Fi Fund provides financial grants and other assistance to injured and critically ill members of the military and their families to help defray the expenses incurred during hospitalization, rehabilitation and recovery periods. Since the Red Nose Run is managed by a volunteer team, there is no overhead cost other than the run itself. All funds are distributed directly to these two charities.
Del Mar Powerhouse Community Center is located at 1658 Coast Boulevard, Del Mar. For more information visit www.therednoserun.com.
