California Surf Museum’s 10th annual gala fundraiser makes a splash on October 28 at Cape Rey Carlsbad. This year’s guests of honor include 2017 CSM Silver Surfer Gerry Lopez and Jericho Poppler. The event also recognizes International Surfing Association President Fernando Aguerre.
For more than 30 years, California Surf Museum has preserved the state’s surfing heritage. Unmatched in its role, the museum showcases and shares California’s colorful surfing history with thousands of visitors. The fala is the most important fundraising effort the California Surf Museum produces to raise the capital needed to continue producing special events and exhibits for education and enjoyment of future generations.
Their newest exhibition China Beach – Surfing During The Vietnam War is an amazing exhibit that tells about the healing power of surfing in Vietnam during the war.
