The Pirates of Penzance

Young pirate-in-training Frederic can’t wait for his 21st birthday, the day his erroneous pirate apprenticeship is supposed to end. Born in a leap year, Frederic discovers he must remain with the raucous band and delay a future with the lovely Mabel, who promises to wait, much to the chagrin of her father. With its catchy tunes and humor, audiences are hooked on this swashbuckling operetta about love, laughter and loyalty.
Swan Lake

California Ballet is thrilled to open its 50th anniversary season with the full-length version of this iconic ballet, choreographed by Thor Sutowski. Presented in four acts, Swan Lake is the tragic tale of Odette, the beautiful swan queen who is imprisoned under the spell of an evil sorcerer. Swan Lake is the ultimate power struggle between good and evil, paired with the promise of everlasting love.
So You Think You Can Dance
November 14

Fans of the hit TV show, So You Think You Can Dance, can watch their favorite dancers in person when the Top 10 Finalists perform live on tour. The tour features finalists Dassy, Kaylee, Kiki, Koine, Lex, Logan, Mark, Robert, Sydney and Taylor, plus All Stars Jasimin Harper and Marko Germar. The high-energy dance tour highlights favorite numbers from Season 14 and includes new surprises too.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker
November 18

The Hip Hop Nutcracker is a contemporary re-imagination of Tchaikovsky’s timeless music, performed by a supercharged cast of a dozen all-star dancers, DJ and violinist. Through the spells cast by the mysterious Drosselmeyer, Maria-Clara and her Nutcracker prince travel back in time to the moment when her parents first met in a nightclub. Digital scenery transforms E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story of sugarplums into 1980s Brooklyn. Directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber, The Hip Hop Nutcracker celebrates love, community and the magic of New Year’s Eve.

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical that is delighting audiences with its contemporary take on the classic tale. This lush production features an incredible orchestra and jaw-dropping transformations. There’s a pumpkin, a glass slipper, a masked ball and some surprising new twists.
