August 12 – 13
Locals and tourists alike can immerse themselves in art, food, live entertainment and fun at the 12th annual ArtWalk at Liberty Station, which takes place throughout the weekend of August 12 and 13. It runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. This year’s theme is “Liberate Your Senses.”
Now in its 12th year, the event celebrates all forms of creativity, from music to visual art, including a variety of media such as painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography and more. More than 200 artists from around the world will display their work in Liberty Station’s Ingram Plaza.
Attendees can shop for art, listen to live music, choose from an array of street food selections, and sip on wine or beer in a shaded pavilion, where sales help to fund free art classes through the nonprofit ArtReach. There will also be a KidsWalk area, offering interactive art activities for families. The fine art festival is free and open to the public.
Liberty Station’s Ingram Plaza is located at 2645 Historic Decatur Road (corner of Historic Decatur and Roosevelt Road). For more information visit www.artwalksandiego.org/libertystation.
