With a rich history spanning more than 100 years, the Escondido Chamber of Commerce has been a driving force among the key players in developing and implementing positive actions that lead to prosperity for the community, its businesses and its citizens. The Chamber presents their 19th annual Chamber Challenge Golf Tournament on September 15 and is excited to once again partner with the Escondido Police Activities League (PAL) to develop strong bonds in the Escondido community.
The tournament takes place at The Vineyard at Escondido Golf Club. The cost to participate is $135 per player or $500 for a foursome. Attendees have the opportunity to practice their putting skills and win prizes from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Shotgun start is at 1 pm. A no-host bar opens at 5 pm and is followed by an awards dinner, raffle and auction at 5:30 pm.
PAL is a non-profit organization whose main goals are to improve the confidence of children in low-income areas and provide children a positive relationship with the Police Officers and the community through educational and athletic activities. PAL operates on donated funds and is not part of the City budget. All donated funds directly benefit the children. The PAL program never wants to turn a child in need away.
